Beginners Yoga
What is Beginners Yoga?
If you have never done any yoga before, our beginners classes are the perfect place to start. You will be in a class with other people who have very little experience of yoga.
Generally class will start with a bit of quiet time (meditation), but don’t let the word meditation put you off. All you have to do it sit there for a few minutes. You don’t even have to close your eyes if you are not comfortable with that.
The postures will be simple and slow. It won’t ever be so fast that you can’t keep up. There will be focus on safe alignment within the postures, so that you can learn what feels right for your body.
You can expect to learn a few different breathing techniques which will give you tools to use off the mat as well.
At Great Malvern Yoga we operate a safe, non-judgemental environment. If you are a complete beginner, you can be assured that our classes are not intimidating and that you will be taught without expectation placed upon you by the teacher. Every yoga journey is individual, so that’s the way we treat you at our studio.
