Description
The starting point is physical, working with the body, learning techniques to continually improve and build on balance, strength and flexibility. All the posture (asana) work is based on classical Hatha Yoga, using a combination of static postures and linked sequences to build strength and flexiblity (sthira/sukha).
Breathing techniques (pranayama) are intended to enhance natural breathing to support the body and calm the mind (chitta vritti nirodha). Classes are fun, and everyone is encouraged to engage as much as they want to, and feel free to take a break whenever needed. Classes end with a short period of guided relaxation, strongly influenced by the principles of Yoga Nidra.
